Now the 2007 Lincoln Navigator isn’t entirely new. The chrome-front Navy Blue Navigator is now offered in regular and long-wheelbase configuration just like the Cadillac embodies refinement and subtleness. But let’s not sack its all-chrome splattered glory, not exactly subtle but it definitely exudes modern classiness.

It is heavily revised with new exterior and interior features. Powertrain parts increases mileage, changes to the Independent Rear Suspension and new third row seats.

This year, the egg crate grille trademark is chromed - an optional trim panel on the newly sculpted power dome hood, plus more chrome on the lower air intake. At the side, it is embossed with a NAVIGATOR signature (can you guess it is chrome accented? I bet you can) and chrome roof rack rails. Rear views expose a larger chromed Lincoln star and chrome exhaust tip. You can opt for the 20-inch chrome wheels substituted for the 18-inch machined aluminum wheels as the larger wheel-tire package is better looking and fills wheel arches with plenty of rubber.

Navigator continues to use Ford’s 5.4-liter Triton V8 with 300 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque. This engine now runs on 87-octane fuel and is mated to a 6-speed automatic with a two overdrive gears, fifth and sixth, for increased mileage. Its chassis has improved stiffness much credit to Ford’s tube-through-tube ladder frame.

The interior has extra space where comfort is considered. Adjustable leather seats, wooden accents, roomy interior, thicker side windows and a special acoustic glass for enhanced quietness (it seems that it’s really the goal much to a driver’s delight – noise dampening).

The last Navigator (although criticized for tits front end) is reasonably defined. With its revamped one, what it really needs is an infusion of style and an edgy attitude.
