Let’s take a first glance at the 2008 Infiniti G35 Coupe. From the look of the sedan, we don’t expect a major change in the appearance of the car, but a honing of the previous look accompanied by significant changes to what you don’t see, but feel.
The Infiniti's Coupe Concept foreshadows the next-generation G35 coupe and sedan with its proven mechanicals. It has a stiffer structure and improved steering, brakes and paddle shifters. The 306-hp 3.5-liter V-6 didn’t turn anyone off, either.
The Coupe's exterior design features covers a full-length glass panel roof, modulated front fenders and hood, deep front spoiler and large projector headlights, polished bare metal-look paint, compact camera outside rearview mirrors, hidden door handles and large 20-inch, Stillen air intake and 9-spoke painted aluminum-alloy wheels.
Combining a performance-inspired cockpit with a luxurious passengers’ space featuring a "double wave" instrument panel design, with large, violet-color gauge illumination and a dramatic, full-length center console and the speakers integrated into the headrests, all of these confirms that layer of show-car glitz and glam.
Take it from Mark Igo, vice president and general manager of Infiniti “The Infiniti Coupe Concept embraces the continuous advancement of Infiniti design with a unique combination of passion, imagination and creativity," he said.
The G35 coupe will debut in New York in Infiniti showrooms this summer.
